Hurrah for tapering!
Tapering came a little early this year. By that I mean that the scheduled 18 mile run yesterday didn't happen and won't. Last Wednesday it was 85 degrees outside and by yesterday it was 50 degrees. I might be able to handle that but it was dizzling.
So in the interest of not getting sick, we went out and ran about 6 miles. Not comparable but I'd rather not get sick. It was pouring by the end of our run and we had all we could do to not become chilled.
I feel a tiny bit guilty but then I remember the longest I ran for the last marathon was 16 miles and I only did that once. I think we have this in the bag.
Now we just have to decide what we are going to be wearing for solidarity on marathon day. The weeks of tapering have begun!!!!! Yes!

my husband and i pretty much moved out of a drizzly climate so runs wouldn't be cancelled. it 's not the same climate as yours. this was more like london's famous climate. it's not good to run in that. glad you didn't.
now...
looking forward to photos!
